Time + Tide has announced the addition of a new property in Cape Town. Located on the slopes of Table Mountain, Future Found Sanctuary by Time + Tide is a secluded sanctuary, where private villas are enveloped by gardens and offer vistas unlike anywhere else in the city.
Future Found Sanctuary is sensitively built to celebrate its natural surroundings and honor local design, art and craftsmanship. Like Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Future Found Sanctuary borders Table Mountain National Park. It is minutes from South Africa’s oldest wine farms, Cape Town’s popular dining destinations and the city’s best beaches.
Private chefs harvest the seasonal bounty of its organic gardens, supported by a horticulturalist who previously worked with Kirstenbosch for many years. A tea sommelier has crafted bespoke blends from plants that grow on-site and a scent specialist has created functional fragrances, which work hand-in-hand with a collection of amenities that support guests in rising, realigning, reflecting and resting. A dedicated wellness expert offers a range of regenerative experiences, from sensory spa treatments, yoga and guided meditation, to waterfall walks, forest bathing and sound healing.
“Living in connection with nature is the foundation of many ancient wisdoms—it is encoded in our DNA. I believe this ancient wisdom is our future found,” says Jim Brett, owner of Future Found Sanctuary. “As Cape Town’s first and only Regenerative Travel designation, I am honored to share this magical place with our guests and to know that every visit fortifies its beauty.”
Regenerative travel is a commitment across all Time + Tide properties. Time + Tide CEO Bruce Simpson explained, “Taking one or two steps further than sustainable tourism, regenerative tourism is about recognizing the role that we play in the areas that we operate, and it is a responsibility we have to our stakeholders and our planet. It is about making a positive long-term impact on the environment, livelihoods, and communities in the areas you operate in. This is a hugely important part of our philosophy at Time + Tide and why we originally developed the Time + Tide Foundation. Regenerative travel is a key focus at Future Found Sanctuary, and we look forward to extending the work of the Foundation into a South African context.”
