AmaWaterways Wine Cruise will be taking guests to visit vineyards and participate in paired wine tastings and discussions across Europe. Expert wine hosts, which include winery owners and winemakers along with wine instructors and sommeliers, will also join the sailings. The wine hosts will recommend food and wine pairings, lead discussions and hold tastings, and accompany guests to local vineyards and wineries.
AmaWaterways is set to embark on a number of seven-night Wine Cruises in 2017-2018 calling at ports in: Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Budapest, France, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Portugal. The cruises will visit a series of renowned wine regions along the Duoro, Seine, Danube, Mosel, Main, Rhine and Garonne rivers, in particular, the Normandy and Provence regions. For an additional cost, guests can extend their stay pre-cruise or post-cruise in any port of call.
Additionally, the AmaWaterways Wine Cruise Brochure lists a selection of hotel accommodations for guests who choose to extend their journey with a pre- or post-land excursion. Guests can also see a list of major gateways in the United States and Canada that offer special airfare rates for AmaWaterways cruisers.
Travelers who book soon can save up to $750 per person on select 2017 and 2018 Wine Cruises.
In addition to the wine-focused activities, guests will also have access to a variety of dining venues with a new menu daily, nightly entertainment, massage and hair services, wellness events (walking tours, biking, hiking, etc.), and a sun deck and pool with a swim-up bar.
