AmaWaterways is launching another new river cruise ship, the AmaSiena. Slated for a launch date of July 1, 2020, the 156-guest ship will sail seven-, 10- and 11-night itineraries in Europe along the Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube rivers.
Like its sibling vessels, the AmaLea, the AmaKristina and the upcoming AmaMora, the new ship will have connecting staterooms and a variety of dining choices, such as regionally inspired cuisine in the Main Restaurant and a wine-paired tasting menu in The Chef’s Table Restaurant.
In a written statement AmaWaterways president and co-founder Rudi Schreiner cited the continued and rising popularity of river cruising as a reason behind the introduction of the new ship.
The AmaSiena will have 78 staterooms, the majority of which will have AmaWaterways’ twin balconies, which offer panoramic views from both a French and an outside balcony. The ship will also have four suites, six pairs of connecting staterooms and 12 triple occupancy staterooms designed for multigenerational families. Additional amenities include a heated Sun Deck swimming pool with a swim-up bar, classes led by a trained Wellness Host, a fitness room, a fleet of bicycles and massage and beauty salon services. Guests also can enjoy complimentary on-demand entertainment, high-speed Wi-Fi and a “Sip & Sail” happy hour.
Notable itineraries on the new ship will be the 10-night Rhine & Moselle Delights and the 11-night Rhine & Moselle Fairytales between Amsterdam and Basel, exploring Middle Ages castles and vineyards.
