Avalon Waterways is launching its newest river boat, Avalon Saigon.
The new ship has 18 suites with nearly 250 square feet of living space. The Suite Ship provides Avalon’s open-air balconies with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall panoramic windows measuring nearly 15 feet wide with retractable screen systems and doors that open nine feet to simulate the feeling of sitting outside.
The front of each open-air balcony is a private sitting area with a love seat, chair and table. And travelers can witness life on the Mekong River, one of Asia’s rivers, from their Avalon Comfort Collection Bed, which face the open window.
Beginning immediately, the Avalon Saigon will sail the Heart of Cambodia & Vietnam—a new 18-day journey—as well as 13-day Fascinating Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong River.
The ship has several amenities, such as outside staterooms, regional wines and beer at every onboard lunch and dinner, complimentary Wi-Fi, shore excursions led by certified local guides, VIP entrance into sites and Avalon Choice—a means for travelers to personalize their trips.
Avalon Waterways launched its first ship in 2004. Vessels have two full decks of 200- and 300-square-foot suites. Travelers can fly free on select 2019 Mekong river cruises when booked between now and October 23, 2018.
