Beyond Cruises introduced a new itinerary that will offer both a Kenya safari to the Maasai Mara as well as a small ship cruise around the Seychelles. The 10- to 14-day program will be split into two parts: A five- or seven-day tour of Kenya’s savannahs, followed by another five- or seven-day cruise around the Seychelles to see wild tortoises, black parrots and tropical fish.
After flying into Nairobi, guests will head to Kenya’s Great Rift Valley where they will spend two nights at the Lake Naivasha Country Club. During the day, the program includes a boat ride across the lake, known for its multitudes of pink flamingos, and game drives in Nakuru National Park. The following two days will take guests to the Maasai Mara National Park, where they will go on daily game drives to spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. On the last day of this portion of the trip, guests will experience another game drive on the way back to Nairobi for an overnight at the Hilton Garden Inn.
After a short flight from Nairobi to Mahe, guests will begin their small ship cruise of the Seychelles, departing from Port Victoria. Sailing aboard the 21-cabin M/Y Pegasos, passengers will island hop across the archipelago. With numerous opportunities for wildlife viewing, highlights include the giant Aldabra tortoises on Curieuse Island, the tropical fish among the reefs at Anse Lazio beach and the black parrots in the centuries old rainforest at Vallee de Mai.
