CroisiEurope Acquires Silver Discoverer; Will Set Sail in Spring 2020

CroisiEurope has acquired the Silver Discoverer. The cruise line says that it will rechristen the ship La Belle des Océans, marking the second ocean-going ship for the brand.

The Silver Discoverer had been under a long-term lease with Silversea before being acquired by CroisiEurope. The ship will make its official debut with CroisiEurope as La Belle des Océans sometime in spring 2020, with the exact inauguration date to be announced later.

The seven-deck ship is 338 feet long and 49 feet wide, accommodating 120 passengers in 60 suites, all of which have an exterior view and nine of which have private balconies. There is one Ocean suite and eight Riviera suites, which have private balconies, seating areas with sofas and twin or queen-size beds, as well as four Panorama suites with two large windows, a seating area and twin or queen-size beds. Thirty-eight Horizon-1 suites have a window, seating area and twin or queen-size beds, while nine Horizon-2 suites have the same amenities, but with two large portholes instead of a window.

All suites also have a private bathroom with walk-in shower, desk, hairdryer, built-in wardrobe with safe, mini-bar, flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Other onboard amenities include two bar-lounges, a restaurant, a bar-restaurant grill around the pool, a fitness center, a beauty salon with hairdresser and spa and laundry service.

Itineraries and cruise dates will be announced soon, CroisiEurope said. La Belle des Océans will be the second ocean-going ship for the cruise line, along with La Belle de l’Adriatique
