Cunard will celebrate a landmark year in 2026 with every Transatlantic Crossing featuring an expanded program of world-class entertainment.
The luxury British cruise line is this year’s Headline Partner of the Olivier Awards. To mark the occasion, Cunard is offering its most extensive program ever, placing world-class entertainment at the heart of every Transatlantic Crossing on board Queen Mary 2, the world’s only ocean liner.
Guests sailing between New York and Southampton will enjoy encounters with world-class performers, award-winning theater, and exclusive cultural events.
London Theatre at Sea in Partnership with the Olivier Awards
Cunard’s London Theatre at Sea in partnership with the Olivier Awards Event Voyage, curated by Julian Bird OBE, will bring the magic of the West End to the Atlantic. Departing on May 22, guests will enjoy performances, musical theater singalongs and talks offering a look behind the scenes of world-class theater.
Exclusive to the voyage, The Oliviers in Concert celebrates 50 years of the Olivier Awards in a one-off production with the Royal Court Theatre orchestra. Guests can also join interactive workshops and attend a gala evening complete with red carpet moments and the chance to be photographed with a real Olivier Award.
The Constant Wife
Cunard reunites with Olivier and Tony Award-winning producer David Pugh for Royal Shakespeare Company’s new production of The Constant Wife, making its debut at sea on May 29 during its UK tour. The hit comedy, written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Laura Wade and starring Kara Tointon features original music composed by Britain’s best-selling jazz artist, Jamie Cullum.
Anthony Inglis and the National Symphony Orchestra
On September 5, maestro Anthony Inglis leads the UK’s National Symphony Orchestra for two evening concerts aboard Queen Mary 2. Guests can join talks and Q&A sessions and even participate in the guest choir, rehearsing throughout the week for a special performance alongside the orchestra.
450th Transatlantic Crossing
On Queen Mary 2’s historic 450th Transatlantic Crossing—departing November 10 from Southampton—guests can step into Cunard’s storied past through The 450 Club: Celebrate the Transatlantic, a program created by the theater company Immersive Octopus. Experience iconic moments from Cunard history, from Noël Coward’s early performances to Sir Arthur Rostron’s bravery during the Titanic disaster.
Guests will enjoy the revived Ocean Times newspaper, enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, hear from a maritime historian, and attend a commemorative Gala Dinner, with special performances and interactive experiences celebrating 186 years of ocean travel.
Literature Festival at Sea
Cunard’s Literature Festival at Sea, departing November 28, brings together authors, journalists, historians and critics for a week-long celebration of storytelling. Curated by The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, this voyage celebrates the written word in its many forms—with intimate Q&A sessions, themed events, and book signings.
Entertainment Residencies by Cunard
On selected Transatlantic Crossings, Cunard brings exclusive Entertainment Residencies, including musicals, comedy, opera, and immersive theater to the high seas. Guests can enjoy recitals, workshops, and one-of-a-kind performances from acclaimed companies and artists, including Adam Riches’ Jimmy, Tim Benzie’s It’s a Mystery!, Dyad Productions’ A Room of One’s Own, Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful, and the West End comedy The Last Laugh.
Meanwhile across the fleet, more than 680 speakers from diverse fields will take to the stage. The 2026 program features a mix of inspiring and entertaining personalities, including Celia Imrie, Dame Floella Benjamin, Sir Tony Robinson and former England cricket captain Sir Andrew Strauss.
