Explora Journeys has announced its holiday programming aboard EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II.
To celebrate the holidays, EXPLORA I will sail from December 23-30 2024, starting in Miami and visiting San Juan (Puerto Rico), Road Bay (Anguilla), Roseau (Dominica), Castries (St. Lucia), and Bridgetown (Barbados), while EXPLORA II will set sail from December 20-27, with stops in Road Bay (Anguilla), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Jost van Dyke (British Virgin Islands), and Marigot (St. Martin) before concluding in San Juan.
As the New Year approaches, EXPLORA I departs from Bridgetown on December 30, 2024, celebrating New Year's eve in St. George's (Grenada), before visiting Kralendijk (Bonaire), Willemstad (Curaçao), and Oranjestad (Aruba), ending in Miami on January 7, 2025. EXPLORA II will begin its New Year journey on December 27, 2024, in San Juan, featuring stops in Charlotte Amalie (US Virgin Islands), St. John's (Antigua), and Basseterre (St. Kitts and Nevis), with New Year’s Eve fireworks in San Juan and concluding in Miami on January 5, 2025.
Christmas and New Year’s Eve on board EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II
Explora Journeys is inviting travelers to celebrate the holiday season and welcome 2025 in luxury aboard the two ships, which will be adorned with twinkling lights, wreaths, trees, and elegantly crafted ornaments, evoking the magic of the season.
Guests can enjoy gingerbread houses and a range of seasonal treats, prepared by the culinary team. Special holiday entertainment includes choirs, carols, parades, and a Santa meet-and-greet, all designed to add to the celebration.
As the New Year approaches, guests can expect celebration at sea. At midnight, fireworks displays will light up the night sky in San Juan (Puerto Rico) and St. George's (Grenada), providing the backdrop for this occasion. After the fireworks, guests can attend the exclusive New Year's Eve gala.
Thanksgiving Celebrations with a Seaside Twist
Guests can celebrate Thanksgiving in the Mediterranean on EXPLORA I or along the beaches of the Caribbean on EXPLORA II. Designed to bring families together, the experience offers authentic Thanksgiving menus, featuring oven-roasted Bourbon Red Tom turkey, a ship-wide scavenger hunt, and workshops to create Thanksgiving-themed decorations.
For those seeking deeper connection, a wellness retreat focused on gratitude and self-reflection will be available. This Thanksgiving gathering offers an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, and fully immerse in the joy of the holiday season.
EXPLORA I will begin its Thanksgiving journey on November 20, 2024, in Barcelona, featuring stops in Alicante (Spain), Motril (Spain), Tangier (Morocco), and Lisbon (Portugal), with a visit to Málaga (Spain) before returning to Barcelona on November 29, 2024, while EXPLORA II departs from Miami on November 22, 2024, and visits Road Bay (Anguilla), Roseau (Dominica), and Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe), before concluding in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on November 29, 2024.
