For the first time ever, Japanese cruise line Mitsui Ocean Cruises, part of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, is open for sale in North America. Architects of Travel will support the sales expansion of the line’s new ship, Mitsui Ocean Fuji, with a targeted sales and marketing campaign for travel advisors in the United States and Canada.
The 458-guest, 32,477-ton Mitsui Ocean Fuji, which formerly operated as Seabourn Odyssey, officially launched in December 2024. On sale now, cruises departing from Japan onboard Mitsui Ocean Fuji include “Spring and Golden Week Cruises” (April to May); a 19-day “Grand Asia Cruise” (May to July); and “Japan Summer Festival Cruises” (July to September).
Available itineraries include:
- “Blossoms & Cultural Treasures” (April 10–17) – The eight-day cruise, round-trip from Yokohama visits Yeosu (South Korea), Nagasaki and Ibusuki
- “Blossoms & Coastal Wonders” (April 17–24) – The eight-day cruise, round-trip from Yokohama visits Jeju Island (South Korea), Hakata and Sukumo
- “Golden Week” (April 24–May 5) – The 12-day cruise round-trip from Yokohama features stops in Ofunato, Hakodate, Aomori, Miyazu, Hamada and Busan (South Korea)
- “Seas & Traditions” (May 5–13) – The nine-day cruise, round-trip from Yokohama, visits Hofu, Sasebo, Yeosu (South Korea), Shimonoseki and Toba
- “Grand Asia” (May 21–June 8) – The 19-day cruise from Hong Kong visits Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh, Sihanoukville and Laem Chabang before disembarking in Singapore after an overnight stay
- “Summer of Sparkles with Fireworks Festivals” (July 17–26) – The 10-day cruise, round-trip from Yokohama visits Noshiro, Sadogoshima, Kanazawa, Jeju Island (South Korea)
- “Festival of Lights” (July 26–August 7) – The 13-day cruise visit Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Busan (South Korea), Sakaiminato, Maizuru, Naoetsu, Sakata, Akita and Aomori
- “Rhythm of the Waves with Awa Dance Festival” (August 7–16) – The 10-day cruise from Tokyo visits Kobe, Busan (South Korea), Kochi, Sukumo, Tanegashima and Komatsushima for the Awa Dance Festival
- “Fireworks at Sea” (August 16–24) – The nine-day journey from Tokyo to Yokohama includes visits to Kumano for the Fireworks Festival, Kochi, Aburatsu, Sasebo, Yeosu (South Korea) and Kobe
- “Sea of Art” (August 24–September 2) – The 10-day cruise from Yokohama visits Takamatsu, Shodoshima, Nagasaki, Jeju Island (South Korea) and Kobe
The cruises are inclusive of most beverages such as specialty coffees, wine, beer and cocktails, Wi-Fi, gratuities and one half-day shore excursion in every port with English-speaking guides. Ship highlights include oceanfront, veranda and penthouse suites; four dining venues, plus several bars and lounges; entertainment venues with live musicians, vocalists and contemporary Broadway-style production shows; a spa, Motion and Fitness Studios, two pools, four whirlpools and a recreation area; and a shore excursion program, often in smaller ports with fewer tourists, created in partnership with the expertise of local Sensei and tourism boards.
