Jumeirah Vittaveli Maldives has launched MY Vittaveli, an Azimut superyacht that holds up to eight guests for overnight stays, or up to 20 guests for day-time cruises.
Equipped with three decks, travelers can wake up to the ocean and wind down in the four-person Jacuzzi on the top deck. Wood joinery, cherry wood panels and Italian marble inlays adorn the vessel’s two master cabins and two twin cabins, with each twin cabin having the capacity for a third guest through a retractable extra bed. All en-suite bathrooms include hydrosonic massage bathtubs and full-sized Hermes amenities.
The crew will guide cruisers to secluded powder-white beaches and hidden spots around the atolls of the Maldives. Families can explore the marine world and visit a local island on the way to check out the art of lacquerware or mat weaving. The superyacht’s swim platform allows for entry and exit for water sports, diving or snorkeling. For the more adventurous traveler, jet skiing is available; for those looking to relax, fishing is an option. The catch of the day can be enjoyed on the aft deck dining area.
Four hours of complimentary cruising are available every day on-board MY Vittaveli. Activities include a beach barbecue dinner, exploring the sandbanks and uninhabited islands, fishing and snorkeling. Additional land and water-based activities include the destination’s first ice rink, a PADI Dive base, water sports center, Talise Spa, six restaurants and bars, a wine library, an overwater lounge, an underground whiskey and chocolate salon and a cigar lounge.
In other Jumeirah Vittaveli news, the company has appointed Amit Majumder to the role of vice president, boutique resorts. He was previously the general manager for Jumeirah Vittaveli in the Maldives and will move to Dubai at Jumeirah’s headquarters.
