Katarina Line, Croatia’s premier small ship cruise company, recently announced the addition of three new cruise routes for 2018 to accommodate the burgeoning popularity of Croatia among North American travelers. Each cruise is seven nights and highlights some of Croatia’s most popular port towns and attractions.
Katarina Line is accepting bookings for 2018 and providing last-minute specials on remaining cruises for 2017, based on availability. Below are the trip details for the three new itineraries:
One-Way Cruises
Two of Katarina Line’s new itineraries are comprised of one-way cruises departing in the north from Poatija or the south from Dubrovnik. Both cruises will travel along Croatia’s western coastline, dropping anchor for guests to swim in secluded coves and beaches. These cruises will visit the islands of Rab, Zadar and Korcula, as well as Krka National Park and the towns of Sibenik, Split and Metkovic.
Unique highlights include a cruise up the Krka River. Guests are also invited to a wine tasting and a tapas lunch at the Bibich Winery, near the port city of Sibenik. There will also be a visit to the Zadar Sea Organs, a 230-foot long architectural marvel whose 35 underground organ pipes produce melodies powered by the ocean waves. Another cruise along the Neretva River brings guests to Metkovic, home to the Narona Archaeological Museum, famous for its Roman ruins.
Fares include a daily buffet breakfast, 10 meals as specified in the itinerary, a captain’s dinner and live entertainment.
Best Kept Secret
Katarina Line’s third new cruise takes guests to what’s known as “Croatia’s Best Kept Secret:” Kvaner Bay in the northern Adriatic Sea, between the Istrian Meninsula and the Croatian mainland. The seven-night “Best Kept Secret Kvaner” cruise departs from Opatija and visits the islands of Krk, Rab, Komati and Cres, as well as the towns of Zadar, Mali and Losinj.
Highlights include a visit to Kornati National Park, wine tasting in Vrbnik, Rab cake tasting, a visit to Telascica Nature Park and numerous guided walking tours.
Fares include daily buffet breakfast and four-course lunch, a captain’s dinner with live music and admission fees to all attractions in the itinerary.
