Regent Seven Seas Cruises and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team have announced the next phase of their partnership, collaborating on a new “Spotlight Voyage” sailing the Mediterranean in summer 2025. The new 10-night “Spotlight Voyage,” hosted by former Formula 1 driver Pedro de la Rosa and members of Aston Martin Aramco onboard Seven Seas Splendor departs July 22, 2025. The cruise will visit destinations steeped in the history and tradition of motor racing such as Barcelona and Monte Carlo.
Beyond the all-inclusive cruise experience, guests will have the chance to enjoy onboard meet and greets and Q&A sessions with Aston Martin Aramco driver ambassador de la Rosa, veteran of over 100 Grands Prix. Throughout the cruise additional members of the Aston Martin Formula One Team will conduct master-classes, workshops, meet and greets and panel discussions.
Monte Carlo will be a particular highlight of the sailing, with a chance for guests to explore Monaco through a bespoke tour. Beginning with a visit to the Classic Car Collection, a "must" for motorsports enthusiasts, travelers can then experience the thrill of the Monaco Circuit. After lunch, they will discover more of the circuit on a walking tour and view Prince Rainer’s personal car collection. Guests will then savor an aperitivo with F1 memorabilia overlooking Port Hercule before capping off the day with a helicopter ride.
Guests can also avail of unlimited included shore excursions when the ship calls at Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Provence (Marseille), Saint-Tropez, Monte Carlo, Portofino, Tuscany (Livorno), and the voyage ends in Rome (Civitavecchia). Some shoreside experiences will be at an additional cost and have limited capacity.
Back onboard, guests will be able to get up close with a full-size replica of one of the team’s race cars, placed on a public deck of Seven Seas Splendor. Pretty cool: The ship will also host an Aston Martin simulator so guests can test their skills on a virtual circuit. The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team “Spotlight Voyage” experience will include special “Race Day” themed dishes, cocktails, deck parties, documentary airings, gifts, co-branded merchandise, including hats, polo shirts, jackets and reusable water bottles in the ship’s boutique, plus special Culinary Arts Kitchen classes.
The line has created pre- and post-cruise motor-racing themed, multi-day land programs for guests who wish to extend their cruise vacations. Here are a few highlights:
- Pre-cruise land program in Barcelona – This three-night journey begins with a walking tour and dinner at a traditional Catalan eatery followed by a thrilling drive at Montjuic Historical Street F1 Racetrack, complemented by a scenic helicopter tour. Guests may then indulge in a lunch paired with Catalan wines and discover iconic landmarks. The adventure ends with a farewell dinner prior to setting sail.
- Post-cruise land program in Bologna – Travelers can embark on a four-night journey through the heart of Italian automotive excellence. After traveling from Rome via Bologna, they can explore the legacy of Enzo Ferrari at the museum in Modena before a visit to the Imola Racetrack. This is followed by vineyard tastings and visits to Lamborghini and vintage mechanic shops. The land program will conclude with a farewell dinner after a day of Pagani and Ferrari experiences.
- Post-cruise land program, “Aston Martin Aramco Race Weekend” in Hungary – Fly from Rome to Budapest to enjoy all the action of an “Aston Martin Aramco Race Weekend Experience” in Hungary. This five-night program is the perfect way for fans to end the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team “Spotlight Voyage” with a hotel stay and more.
