Seven Seas Explorer will head to South America in January, marking its first visit to the continent since it first set sail two years ago. Starting off in Rio de Janeiro on January 20, the ship will spend the following several weeks sailing five itineraries with stops in 10 South American countries.
These five overlapping voyages include:
- January 20 (12 nights) – Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires, with stops in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina
- January 20 (28 nights) – Rio de Janeiro to Santiago (San Antonio), with stops in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Falkland Islands and Chile
- February 1 (16 nights) – Buenos Aires to Santiago (San Antonio), with stops in Uruguay, Argentina, Falkland Islands and Chile
- February 1 (36 nights) – Buenos Aires to Los Angeles, with stops in Uruguay, Argentina, Falkland Islands, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala
- February 17 (20 nights) – Santiago (San Antonio) to Los Angeles, with stops in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Mexico
Seven Seas Explorer will be arriving in South America following two years sailing through the Mediterranean, Caribbean, northern Europe and Africa. At the beginning of 2019, on January 6, the ship will sail begin its Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro voyage, arriving in Brazil on the 19th.
The all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Explorer accommodates up to 750 guests. It is a member of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ five-ship fleet. The cruise line is a brand of Norwegian Cruise Line, which operates a combined total of 26 ships.
