Regent Seven Seas Cruises has selected Miami-based boutique cruise ship and hospitality design firm Studio DADO to create select public and private areas of its newest luxury ship, Seven Seas Splendor.
The undertaking—led by DADO founding partners Yohandel Ruiz and Javier Calle and lead designer Scheherezade Marles—will include the ship’s Observation Lounge, spa, card room, Constellation Theater, Connoisseur Club cigar lounge, Pacific Rim Pan-Asian specialty restaurant, and all 55 Penthouse Suites, Grand Suites and Superior Suites on board. The all-suite, all-balcony ship is launching in February 2020.
Public and private areas on the upcoming ship include:
- The Observation Lounge: This incorporates a light and airy color palette to create a restful daytime space designed to evoke the feeling of an English garden. Included in the design are peonies, roses, traditional English architectural molding and curved, lush upholsteries that echo the forms of flower petals.
- The Grand Suites: These rooms have marble mosaics, rich woods, emerald green accent colors and furniture pieces based on haute couture fashion.
- Penthouse Suites: The 55 sapphire-inspired Penthouse Suites are adorned with custom artwork, bathrooms with Carrara marble and stone and custom-lit vanity mirrors, and expansive, walk-in closets that include lined jewelry drawers and custom space built for designer handbags.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises had previously announced the new accommodations on Seven Seas Splendor; among them are two categories: Distinctive Suites and Spacious Suites.
