Trafalgar has announced its expansion into river cruising. Launching in spring 2026, Trafalgar will debut in Europe with two river cruise journeys along the Rhine and Danube. As part of its rollout strategy, Trafalgar has opened bookings for two new itineraries for travel advisors, ahead of the general public. River cruises are open for booking now for sailings beginning April 11, 2026.
Trafalgar will initially offer two new journeys, one onboard the 128-passenger Trafalgar Reverie and the other onboard the 128-passenger Trafalgar Verity. Both journeys will offer "signature Trafalgar moments," including Local Specialists offering deep destination insights, opportunities to connect with locals through “Be My Guest” encounters and at least one “Make Travel Matter” experience that supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Guests can also enjoy onboard entertainment like regional performances and in-house baking demonstrations, besides wellness options such as yoga sessions and complimentary bicycles for off-shore excursions.
The two new river cruise journeys include:
- “Best of the Danube” (eight days) – Explore Europe’s history and culture from Budapest to Passau aboard the 128-passenger Trafalgar Reverie, which will have multiple lounges, a massage room, fitness center and seven cabin categories. Itinerary highlights include Budapest’s storied landmarks, Bratislava’s medieval charm and Vienna’s café culture. Guests are invited to “Be My Guest” during a dining experience at Austria’s oldest winery, Weingut Nikolaihof; and discover Bratislava’s Cold War history during “Life Beyond the Iron Curtain,” a “Make Travel Matter” experience. Optional extensions in Prague and Budapest allow further discovery.
- “Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam” (10 days) – Travelers aboard the 128-passenger Trafalgar Verity with its 1930s vibe, marble-accented bathrooms and "boutique hotel ambiance," will journey from Basel to Amsterdam, encountering landmarks such as the UNESCO-listed Cologne Cathedral, the Middle Rhine Gorge and Strasbourg’s old town. On this journey, the “Be My Guest” experience visits the Bohrers for lunch at their family-run farm. Guests will learn about artisanal vinegar production during a “Make Travel Matter” experience at Weinessiggut Doktorenhof. Like its sister ship, Trafalgar Verity offers seven cabin categories and an optional extension in Lucerne.
