Two Luxury Cruise Lines Launch New Advisor Booking Engines

Both Crystal and Viking this week announced the launch of their new travel advisor booking portals. This comes on the heels of Windstar Cruises last week announcing a partnership with the Revelex booking engine.

Here’s what you need to know:

Crystal’s new booking engine, designed to streamline and enhance the booking experience for travel advisors, has gone live Thursday, August 1. The new tool, integrated into crystalcruises.com, offers a suite of resources designed to provide travel advisors with the flexibility, speed and reliability they need to serve their clients effectively. These include:

  • Intuitive User Interface: The new booking engine has an easy-to-navigate design that simplifies the search and booking process.
  • Real-Time Availability: Advisors can access up-to-date information on cruise availability, suite categories and pricing.
  • Personalized Recommendations: The platform leverages advanced algorithms to provide cruise recommendations based on clients' preferences and optional back-to-back voyage combinations.
  • Enhanced Support: A support team and training resources ensure travel advisors can make the most of the new system.
  • Exclusive Promotions: Travel advisors can access special deals and promotions through the new booking engine.

Good to know: To ensure a smooth transition, Crystal has developed training resources, including webinars, video tutorials and step-by-step guides. Travel advisors will also have access to a dedicated support team ready to assist with any questions or issues that may arise.

At the same time, Viking also launched its “new and improved” Travel Advisor Portal. As part of Viking's ongoing commitment to support travel advisors and their clients, the updated platform offers a suite of services to enhance the booking experience and streamline the marketing process. Advisor partners can access a wide range of tools, such as marketing content and assets for building co-branded websites, as well as the popular Travel Advisor Academy to learn how to sell Viking’s river, ocean and expedition voyages.

New improvements include:

  • Journey through the booking process – Search multiple cruise types with intuitive filters to find itineraries by city, port, month or date range.
  • Search for voyages by offer code – Find and book qualifying sailings with a new offer code search feature.
  • Manage bookings more efficiently – Sort bookings by upcoming payment deadlines with the new booking dashboard.
  • Find clients’ bookings with ease – Search for a booking by guest name and filter by booking status.
  • Choose a stateroom category – Select from all stateroom categories with an interactive room selection.
  • Add Air Plus while making an online booking – Avoid calling the Viking Air Department to add Air Plus earlier in the booking process.
  • Send an eQuote – Download a PDF or print a quote for clients.
