Viking Cruises introduced its new 2020-21 Viking World Cruise, scheduled to depart December 14, 2020 from Miami. Spanning 161 days, six continents and 75 ports, the cruise will include overnight stays in 13 cities and six new ports of call for Viking.
Sailing aboard 930-guest Viking Sun, the cruise will start off in the Caribbean, continue to the South Pacific and Asia, explore the Middle East, sail through the Mediterranean and finish in London. Travelers may opt for the shorter 140-day sailing, 2021 Viking World Discoveries, which will leave from Los Angeles January 4, 2021 and visit 27 countries and 66 ports.
Marking Viking’s first visit to the Hawaiian Islands, two of the world cruise’s new stops will be Honolulu and Nawiliwili. On Oahu in Hawaii’s capital, guests will be able to visit historic landmarks, go shopping relax at Waikiki Beach and more. Stopping at Nawiliwili, passengers learn why Kauai is nicknamed Hawaii’s “Garden Island” by visiting the Na Āina Kai Botanical Gardens & Sculpture Park.
The 2020-21 Viking World Cruise will also mark the cruise line’s first visit to Moorea in French Polynesia, where guests can explore Opunohu Bay. In Vietnam, passengers will make Viking’s first stop at Chan May, where they can visit the Imperial City of Hue, explore a traditional food market or walk among the crumbling walls of the citadel.
