Virtuoso has announced a new partnership with Virgin Voyages, the new, adults-only cruise brand from Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group that is set to debut in 2020. The agreement will see Virgin Voyages join the organization’s preferred cruise portfolio, offering a number of special perks for Virtuoso-affiliated travel advisors and their clients.
In its announcement of the new agreement Virtuoso noted that it has a long-standing partnership with several other Virgin Group luxury brands. The luxury travel network is the exclusive seller for the Virgin Galactic space tourism brand in North America, and Virtuoso is a preferred partner with Virgin Limited Edition. Virtuoso also pointed to the cruise brand’s “First Mates” travel advisor program, which includes benefits like no non-commissionable fares, as a reason behind the decision.
Virgin Voyages will make its debut in April 2020 with the launch of its first ship, the Scarlet Lady, out of Miami. The new cruise brand aims to distinguish itself with an adults-only focus, strong lifestyle and wellness options, and Virgin-brand design touches. Cruise fares will include the ship’s 20+ onboard eateries, group fitness classes, gratuities and service charges, Wi-Fi, and basic beverages, such as soda, teas, drip coffee and still and sparkling water.
The Scarlet Lady will offer Caribbean cruises out of Miami from April 1 to October 21, 2020. All itineraries will include a call at The Beach Club at Bimini, a new private beach experience in the Bahamas.
