For 2018, Seabourn is offering two new Wellness Cruises with Dr. Andrew Weil. Bound for Alaska and Greece, each voyage will host integrative medicine experts, in addition to Dr. Weil, who will provide panel discussions, free wellness seminars and interactive sessions. A selection of optional, for-charge shore excursions will also be offered.
The first Wellness Cruise will explore aboard Seabourn Sojourn, June 16-28. As the vessel travels north from Vancouver, British Columbia, exploring Sumner Strait, Seduction Point, Tracy Arm and Misty Fjords en route to Seward, Alaska, the Wellness Cruise program hosts more than 20 complimentary lectures and demonstrations.
In the Mediterranean, guests can opt for the October 6-20 sailing. Headed round-trip from Piraeus (Athens), Seabourn Odyssey will take in sights and scenes of Mykonos, Crete, Naxos and Rhodes in Greece, as well as Syracuse, Italy, and Valletta, Malta.
A sampling of wellness topics includes healthy aging, how nutrition affects heart function, health and happiness, guided imagery for deep, restorative sleep, the importance of nutrition, sleep, exercise and social activity for children, the validity of “energy healing,” and more.
While Dr. Weil won’t be aboard every Seabourn sailing, travelers will find the Spa & Wellness with Dr. Andrew Weil programming aboard every cruise starting this year. The program is led by an onboard Mindful Living coach, a certified yoga and meditation practitioner. Complimentary Mind and Body seminars adapted from Dr. Weil’s bestselling books and research are offered, as are one-on-one wellness sessions and other spa & wellness.
