Faena House, the condominium project |
2015 looks like it will be another record-breaking year for Florida tourism, reports The Miami Herald, with numbers expected to surpass 100 million visitors. Visit Florida president and CEO Will Seccombe attributes this trend to bigger budgets allocated for destination marketing (and social media campaigns like the recent one promoting the hashtag #DogsLoveFL. Another campaign targets travelers who don’t have to plan vacations around the school calendar.)
In the future, Visit Florida is looking to target more visitors from China and India. Exciting hotel developments add to Florida’s sunshine allure. Perhaps the biggest buzz is around Miami’s $1 billion Faena project, which will import Faena’s South American lifestyle brand to the sizzling Miami scene. The Faena District, including the Faena Hotel Miami Beach located at 3201 Collins Ave, is slated to debut in November to much fanfare and celebration. (Expect to hear about a dazzling inauguration party!)
