Next week, rare and classic cars will be on display at the Malta Grad Prix. The four-day annual event celebrates vintage four-wheel vehicles and features over 70 pre-1976 cars. This year, the event is set to take place October 5-8 and will showcase cars taking part in hill climbs, static shows, and motorsport events. New this year is a selection of 80s super cars and rally car legends.
The event incorporates the Malta Classic (formerly the Mdina Grand Prix), which often includes rare Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and Aston Martin models.
Automobile lovers can keep the event going at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in San Anton. Guests can check out a classic car and drive through the country’s coastline. The hotel’s Vintage Car Ride package includes a private guide, a two-hour car ride, overnight accommodation for two in one of the hotel’s double deluxe rooms, and breakfast. Prices start from $534 per room.
The five-star hotel is the original flagship of Corinthia Hotels and opened in 1968. It is located in the heart of Malta near the island’s capital, Valletta, and Mdina, the medieval city that is still inhabited.
The 147-room hotel offers a range of facilities including the Athenaeum Spa, and indoor and outdoor pool.
It also offers high-end restaurants, including Rickshaw, with Asian-fusion dishes, and the al fresco Summer Kitchen. For corporate guests, modern business facilities are available, with a large conference room big enough to accommodate 450 guests as well as six group rooms including two boardrooms for smaller groups.
