Good news for travelers passing through the Paris Charles de Gaulle international airport. There’s now a gourmet restaurant that might make you wish your lay-over was a little longer. Opened in early June in Terminal 2E (from where certain flights to Asia and the United States depart), “I Love Paris” boasts a menu designed by Michelin three-star chef Guy Martin. (His restaurant in the Palais Royal, Le Grand Véfour, is a gastronomic destination in the French capital). The restaurant’s look was conceived by in-demand interior designer India Mahdavi.
Guests can choose from a number of classic French items on the menu (like blanquette de veau or pot-de-feu), or sample a hamburger, sandwich, or vegetarian dish. There’s also a champagne bar. Menu from 30 euros. As quoted by The Local France: "The aim is to try to make a Chinese traveller prefer to stop over in Paris rather than Heathrow or Dubai," said Laure Baume, deputy director of the Aeroports de Paris airport agency.”
