Monaco’s Bal de la Rose, originally scheduled for March 19, 2022, has been postponed due to health conditions, to Friday July 8, 2022 in the Salle des Etoiles of Sporting Monte-Carlo.
The Bal de la Rose is held for the benefit of the Princess Grace Foundation. H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, President of the Princess Grace foundation, entrusted the artistic direction to Her friend Christian Louboutin; they together chose the theme "The Twenties, the Return.”
The event, according to Visit Monaco, is “not a mere high-society event, aimed only at the pleasures of celebration. Above all, it constitutes a charitable event for international outreach, and the profits from the tombolas and other unique prizes (sculptures, paintings…) have been paid in full to the Princess Grace Foundation since 1964.”
The day after the Bal de la Rose, "L'Exhibition[niste]," the major summer exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco dedicated to Christian Louboutin, will open its doors to the public from July 9 to August 28, 2022. The exhibition will include previously unseen works tied to the designer's Monegasque inspirations, as well as new collaborations, such as a unique project developed with British artist Allen Jones. The heart of the exhibition will bring together items from Louboutin's personal collection and historic and artistic works borrowed from public and private collections.
As soon as health conditions permit, the Bal de la Rose will once again mark the opening of the season in Monaco.
