AG Group has announced a new international franchise collaboration with Hyatt Hotels. The Italian-owned hotel group’s newest five-star luxury lifestyle hotel in Florence, IL Tornabuoni, expected to open in October 2021, will become part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, while its upscale hotel in Rome, The Tribune, will become part of JdV by Hyatt in October 2021.
AG Group’s franchise with The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand allows them to leverage Hyatt's global distribution network and its World of Hyatt loyalty program for guests, while it remains at liberty to maintain IL Tornabuoni’s individuality and independence.
The boutique hotel is located along Via Tornabuoni in the historic 12th-century Palazzo Minerbetti. The ad-hoc Italian interior design was created specifically for the hotel by Milan-based architect Andrea Auletta and reflects the palazzo’s historic roots from the Renaissance era and references to the city’s architecture, history, nature and food can be found throughout the 62 guestrooms, suites and facilities, including the hotel’s five-dining outlets—Il Magnifico Restaurant, Il Magnifico Cafè, Lucie Restaurant, the Butterfly Terrace and La Cave cellar.
The restored Palazzo Minerbetti has retained much of its Florentine heritage. Most rooms and suites provide two double beds for guests, along with bathrooms which resemble the ancient spas. Many rooms and suites offer views of some of the city’s most popular sites, including the Duomo’s famous Cupola del Brunelleschi and Giotto Bell Tower, the façade of the Church of Santa Maria Novella, the Church of San Frediano in Cestello and the panorama of Villa Bardini in the Bardini Gardens, to name a few.
The Tribune Hotel, part of JdV by Hyatt, is located just off the Via Veneto, made famous in Federico Fellini’s "La Dolce Vita" and close to the Eternal City’s major tourist attractions. The 52-room upscale/upper upscale family-friendly hotel has a rooftop terrace where guests can enjoy Italian fare and cocktails while taking in the spectacular views of the Villa Borghese.
