With nearly 190 miles of groomed ski slopes and guaranteed snow from late November until early May, the Val d’Isère is renowned as one of the world’s best ski destinations. It’s here in the French Alps where the Airelles Collection is planning to open its latest ultra-luxe property on December 19, 2019. Officially created in October 2017, Airelles currently comprises two palace hotels in France, Les Airelles (in Courchevel) and La Bastide de Gordes (in Provence). Named for its flagship hotel, the Airelles Collection has also nabbed headlines because of its upcoming luxury hotel at the Chateau de Versailles, slated for 2020.
But first, Mademoiselle, Val d'Isère will open in the Alps just in time for the winter ski season. This will be the only five-star hotel in the area with direct ski-in/ski-out access (and guests can check out the action on the slopes from the hotel's gigantic sun terrace). The property was formerly the Hotel Le Brussel’s, a famous address right at the foot of the slopes in Val d’Isère. Acquired by Séverine Pétilaire-Bellet in 2017, the property was closed in 2018 for a comprehensive renovation. Interior architect Christophe Tollemer, who also designed the other Airelles hotels, masterminded the project with the collaboration of Anne-Laure Borreda.
Mademoiselle will have 172 employees for 41 rooms, including 11 suites and five private apartments (serviced by personal butlers). Choose your ski gear at the on-site Bernard Orcel-branded Salon à Ski. Here you'll be able to enjoy a hot drink and gourmet treats while the staff helps fit your equipment. After a day on the slopes, relax at the Guerlain spa (complete with swimming pool), while your kids are entertained at the well-equipped children’s club.
