Big news from the Czech Republic: After an association with Radisson Blu, the Alcron Hotel Prague transitioned back to an independent property on January 1. Returning to its original 1932 name and tradition, the Art Deco property will continue to operate under the direction of its general manager Michal Chour, who has overseen operations and strategy there for 12 years.
“We are excited to enter a new era for the Alcron Hotel Prague, as we continue our dedication to top service and our special synergy with the history and culture of Prague,” said Chour.
Culinary travelers can still visit the hotel’s Alcron Restaurant, whose tasting menu has been prepared by chef Jacob Cerny with Roman Paulus, both top chefs of the Czech Republic. The Alcron Hotel Prague also features a second restaurant, La Rotonde, which serves a menu of local Czech and international specialties under the direction of Chef Paulus. Guests looking for a more casual time can head to Be Bop Lobby Bar.
The Alcron Hotel Prague offers 204 rooms and suites, all decorated with Art Deco-style furnishings and many with city views. The hotel’s fitness center provides access to state-of-the-at equipment, massage treatments and a sauna. Located close to Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, Prague Castle and other major landmarks, a concierge team is also available to advise guests on exploring the city.
