Ambergris Cay, a private island resort and homeownership community in Turks and Caicos, has announced the expansion of its dedicated airport ahead of summer travel. Ambergris Cay is home to one of the longest runways in the Caribbean and the newly expanded capabilities and enhanced classifications, including Tier 1 status, now allow larger private aircrafts to land directly at Ambergris Cay International Airport.
The private island resort continues to seek opportunities to enhance the arrival experience. On the heels of the newly launched direct flights to South Caicos International Airport, Ambergris Cay has arranged for transfer services from this additional arrival point. This will add to the existing service where guests who arrive at Howard Hamilton International Airport in Providenciales are provided with the same complimentary transfer to the private island resort. This June, Ambergris Cay will welcome its latest aircraft, a 19-seater Twin Otter, which will accommodate even larger groups for transfers from the two mainland routes.
Ambergris Cay provides a secluded setting for affluent travelers and vacation homeowners. The resort is home to a variety of bungalows and luxury villas, including the newly unveiled Dream Estate, complete with 10 bedrooms, a private spa, personal gym, two butlers and two private chefs, alongside additional amenities. During their stay, guests are treated to such experiences as stargazing, nature trails and whale-watching to exploring the native species and relaxing at the resort’s Hangover Bar, a floating tiki bar accessible only via boat transfer.
