The Anam Unveils Half-Day Vietnamese Chocolate Factory Tour

Vietnamese beachfront resort The Anam will now offer guests the opportunity to take a half-day tour of a nearby chocolate factory. The package, created in partnership with chocolate maker Fifty Fresh Farms, includes a chocolate history lesson, tours of a cacao farm and factory, a chocolate cooking class and a 40-minute tasting session.

Guests start their “Vietnamese Chocolate Factory Tour” with a brief educational session where they learn about the 4,000-year history of chocolate. Participants then receive a lesson in the process of chocolate manufacturing, starting out in a mini cacao farm and moving to the Fifty Fresh Farms factory floor, where the company produces over 200 pounds of chocolate every day.

The two highlights of the tour will likely be the chocolate "masterclass" and the tasting session. Equipped with torques and aprons, participants spend 40 minutes crafting their own chocolate creations. While waiting for their works to cool, guests sample milk, white and dark chocolates, truffles, bonbons, chocolate-covered dried fruits, hot chocolate and brewed cacao.

The Anam is a five-star resort located in Cam Ranh, Vietnam. In addition to the new chocolate factory tour, the hotel also offers a "From My Family to Yours" culinary tour. Paired with a local Vietnamese family, tour groups visit farms, markets, cafes, shops and, finally, their host’s home, where they will receive a Vietnamese cooking lesson.
