Anantara Angkor Resort, an all-suite retreat in Siem Reap, has introduced a series of wellness experiences and journeys inspired by the Seven Ways of Enlightenment: Mindfulness, Investigation, Energy, Rapture, Tranquility, Concentration and Equanimity. Using Khmer healing traditions, the experiences are offered as four- to five-hour wellness journeys, and four- or seven-day core wellness packages that are curated as guided programs.
A highlight of the wellness journeys is the five-hour Samadhi, or concentration, treatment that includes a floral foot ritual, Chi Nei Tsang massage, Himalayan pink salt scrub, Golden Cocoon silk facial, Tibetan praying wheel meditation, incense stick making and a monk blessing ceremony.
The core wellness packages offer a seven-day Reshape program that recalibrates the body through a series of steps under the guidance of a personal fitness coach. It evaluates the participant’s routine, customary diet and fitness habits, and provides insights on how to get these lifestyle elements in balance. It also teaches seasonal plant-based vegan cooking, principles of nutrition and mindful eating habits. Additionally, mountain biking and meditation sessions are also included in the package to clear the mind and to revive and retone the body.
Other core wellness packages include Reboot, a journey crafted for better physical and mental health through the practice of yoga; Refresh, a juice-based program designed to clear out toxins accumulated through dietary habits; and Recharge, a program focused on nurturing imbalances in the mind, body and soul.
