Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas has unveiled its new collection of private beach pool residences following the renovation of the resort’s two-bedroom overwater pool residences. The $5 millions project started in 2020 and included the the redesign of its two-, three- and four-bedroom beach pool residences (seven total accommodations).
Overwater Pool Residences
Both units of Anantara Kihavah’s Two-Bedroom Overwater Pool Residences were completed in early 2021. These overwater retreats, totaling 16,145 square feet, are outfitted with a professional working kitchen in the living and dining room. In addition, each en-suite bedroom has an individual outdoor living space; there is also an infinity pool and shaded outdoor dining sala.
The redesign of these residences also saw the addition of a gym, fully equipped with the latest TechnoGym machinery and a couple’s spa treatment room. (Both rooms are fitted with retractable blinds.) The spa room also has glass-paneled flooring to view the lagoon below. A glass-bottomed whirlpool bathtub has also been fitted in each bathroom, providing therapeutic massages and underwater views.
As an homage to the heritage of the Maldives, each residence has Kajan thatched palm roofs, Balau hardwood flooring and natural Sukabumhi stone tiling in the pool, all accompanied by netted hammocks suspended over water.
Beach Pool Residences
The “crown jewel” in this collection is the 21,500-square-foot Four-Bedroom Beach Pool Residence. A connecting door set at the end of a garden pathway adjoins a standalone villa fitted with its own infinity pool and dining pavilion as part of the main wing of the residence. The residence accommodates up to 12 (eight adults and four children or 12 adults). The collection’s remaining beachfront hideaways include a generous 14,300-square-foot two-bedroom option and an ample 19,000-square-foot three-bedroom residence.
Like the overwater pool residences, each beachfront residence includes palm roofs and Balau decks. The newly extended swimming pools are now fitted with massage jets, while an outdoor Sala Thai provides shade for lounging and dining.
In each revamped bathroom, there will be a water feature wall designed to mimic that of a real waterfall. Well-being and fitness are also given equal attention, with each residence outfitted with its own private double-bed spa treatment room and a private gym offering a complete range of fitness equipment.
Tip: Guests of these new accommodations have access to a dedicated Villa Host, a wine sommelier, personal chef and baby-sitting service.
