Anantara Launches Private Jet Journeys to Explore Indian Ocean Destinations

The destinations of Sri Lanka and the Maldives make a killer travel combo, as the cultural riches of the tear-shaped island, old “Ceylon,” can be complemented with R&R on the beach in the postcard-perfect Maldivian archipelago. Anantara, the Bangkok-based luxury resort brand, has recently launched a private jet experience for travelers to experience these idyllic Indian Ocean locations. Travelers fly on MJETS’ Gulfstream V (up to 12 people) or Cessna Citation X (up to eight people) for a stylish island-hopping adventure for a group of friends of family.

These five-night journeys start from Bangkok and include two nights in Sri Lanka and three nights in the Maldives. First stop: the Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Here, guests can try surfing lessons with Tropicsurf, sign up for cooking classes, or while away some time at the spa— be sure to try the Ayurvedic wellness program. (We also highly recommend an excursion to Udawalawe National Park, famous for its elephant population.)

Next up— after a quick flight that’s just over an hour— is Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, recently named Luxury Travel Advisor's Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World. Among other top-notch facilities, the resort has an Observatory for private stargazing sessions. (We also like the al fresco cinema and underwater dining at SEA.) The return flight is to Bangkok.

Prices are available upon request. For more information, call Rose Ongvisit at +66 (0) 81 170 5463 or email charters@mjets.com.
