Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced an upcoming addition to its Middle East portfolio. Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort is in the final stages of development in the World Islands archipelago, located in the Arabian Gulf, approximately two-and-a-half miles off the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The new resort will be the first hotel to open in the South American continent of the World Islands development. The island will be completely dedicated to the resort, with guests able to access by boat in just 15 minutes from the jetty at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Good to know: The luxury brand already operates nine hotels and resorts in the region, including six in the U.A.E., with this newest addition to launch in Q4 of 2021.
The property will have 70 suites, beach and pool villas. Villas will have a private pool, an outdoor dining area and direct access to the beach. In-room spa treatments, a gym and a kid’s club will also be part of the new resort's amenities. Dining options will include an al fresco Mediterranean restaurant and Arabic-Indian specialty dining, offering barbecues on the beach. In addition, freshly caught seafood will be prepared by a team of chefs who will bring the finest fare to the island. A stylish bar lounge will offer views of the Dubai skyline, including the famous landmarks Burj Khalifa and Burj al Arab.
Elsewhere in the world—the actual world, not The World Islands archipelago—Anantara is set to make its debut in the Netherlands this fall. In advance of its opening, the hotel (which previously operated as NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky) will see updates to some of the guestrooms and suites, while a garden, spa and gym will be added.
