Anguilla's Malliouhana to Reopen With New Look, Programming

On November 1, Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection will welcome the winter season with a new look and host of new amenities and programming as part of its multimillion-dollar enhancements. Overlooking Meads Bay and Turtle Cove, the luxury hotel will be showing off chic new suites, experiences that allow guests to discover “hidden Anguilla” and enjoy new inventive and authentic cuisine.

Increasing the resort’s total room count to 63 from 46, new ocean-facing rooms include three new suites above the spa, eight beachfront rooms, four garden view rooms and a new two-bedroom beachfront villa on Turtle Cove (complete with a garden patio, private plunge pool and bathroom with free-standing tub). Each of the new accommodations are designed in the resort’s signature shades of mint, mango and white, with pops of saffron and vibrant Haitian artwork.

Leon’s at Meads Bay is a new a “toes-in-the-sand” beach shack located directly on Mead’s Bay Beach. Serving classic Caribbean fare, specialty rum punch and "rum-sicles," it will also be home to beach games and hammocks for a post-meal nap.

Another culinary highlight will be the Beach Ceviche Classes on Turtle Cove, where guests will learn how to turn fresh-caught local seafood (conch, crayfish and sea urchin) into ceviches infused with Anguilla’s Pyrat rum. The ceviche is paired alongside crispy curried goat jerky—a staple in Caribbean cuisine. Following the class, guests can watch the sunset over Meads Bay.

Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection

Continuing on the culinary front, Café Celeste, Malliouhana’s signature restaurant, will have a brand-new bar set in the center of the restaurant and a menu offering Mediterranean-inspired fare with local ingredients (like Anguilla’s signature crayfish). Bar Soleil, once the Sunset Bar, will host special events, such as Taco Tuesdays and Wine Wednesdays.

The Auberge Spa has been expanded to include six new treatments rooms and a brand-new pool overlooking the ocean. And an all-new meeting and gathering space just off the lobby will be available for small gatherings and C-Suite retreats for up to 60 people.

New Auberge Adventures invite guests to seek out and explore Anguilla. The resort’s new “Beach-fari” experience includes a day-long tour of seven of Anguilla’s most famous beaches complete with your very own beach concierge, BBQ lunch and sunset drinks and bites.
