Auberge Resorts Collection has been appointed by Reuben Brothers to manage Cambridge House, the former In and Out Military Club, in Mayfair, London. Set to open in late 2025, Cambridge House, Auberge Resorts Collection is part of Reuben Brothers’ £1 billion ($1.2 billion) regeneration of 1.3 acres of the Piccadilly Estate, including the residential development of One Carrington and the cobblestone streets of Shepherd Market.
Located between Green Park and Shepherd Market, the 102-key hotel has a private members’ club. Encompassing several historic properties, the Georgian mansion at the heart of the hotel is a Grade 1-listed, Palladian-style townhouse commissioned by the second Earl of Egremont in 1756. It also served as the naval and military In and Out Club from 1865 to 1999.
Jean-Louis Deniot is leading the transformation of the hotel, while Laura Gonzalez is designing the club’s bars, dining venues, spa and nine members’-only club rooms. The hotel will include an open-air jasmine courtyard and a brasserie-style restaurant. A culinary partnership will also be announced in due course. The double-level Auberge Spa will offer hydrotherapy facilities, two heated pools and seven treatment rooms, complemented by a relaxation lounge and a fire pit, gym, activity studios, wet zones, heat rooms and bathhouse.
Meeting and event spaces at the hotel will include a ballroom, while the property’s restaurants, bars and private rooms can accommodate events of every size and concept.
Later this year, the brand will open Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection in Florence. Other opening include The Shore Club, Auberge Resorts Collection in Miami Beach, FL; The Knox, Auberge Resorts Collection in Dallas, TX; and The Hearst Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection in San Francisco, CA.
