Auberge Resorts Collection introduces “Enriching Lives,” an initiative that aims to uplift communities through education and learning in the destinations where the group’s properties operate. Each property team will work together to offer mentorships, raise money for nonprofit organizations and scholarships through fundraising events, and volunteer time and resources to uplift those in need. Here are a few highlights.
The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection in Park City, Utah is working with the nonprofit Voice for Nature. Throughout the year, the property hosts teenagers from the YMCA to visit Gracie’s Farm, meet with the resort’s veterinarian and farmers and explore the Wasatch Mountains. The property has also partnered with local schools to enhance student education through hotel internships, hands-on learning and career opportunities in the hospitality industry.
Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection in Anguilla is working with Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School (AARPS) to reintroduce farming to the island, which currently depends heavily on imports for a significant portion of its produce. The resort will provide the school with the necessary resources to develop the garden including manpower, soil and fertilizer, as well as hands-on involvement and mentorship for the students in an effort to nurture the next generation of farmers. Children will learn about sustainable agriculture from Malliouhana’s culinary team through this program.
Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection in Telluride has partnered with the Colorado chapter of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and the Blackfeet Nation to help regenerate the once-native American Bison in southwest Colorado. The hotel will host a series of fundraising events from chef-led cookouts to ice skating. The property will host its second Annual Alpine Cookout on July 2. All donations and event proceeds will go to the WCS.
Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection in Santa Fe, New Mexico has partnered with YouthWorks, an organization serving at-risk and disadvantaged youth in northern New Mexico. Besides donations, team members provide regular mentorship, job shadowing, and job opportunities for the youth. Participants are also invited to enjoy experiences each month including on-property hiking and horseback riding.
Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection in Napa Valley, California invites guests to participate in art events supporting classes, workshops and camps held by Nimbus Arts, a nonprofit that makes art available to local children, adults and seniors. Guests can also attend the annual NimBASH fundraising event on May 28, 2022 featuring auction items from artwork to hospitality experiences that benefit the nonprofit and its objectives.
The Vanderbilt, Auberge Resorts Collection in Newport, Rhode Island has joined forces with the Women’s Resource Center of Newport, a nonprofit that empowers victims of domestic violence through education, support and advocacy programs. The hotel hosts fundraising events, career counseling opportunities and complimentary fitness classes for women and children.
