The Ritz-Carlton, Perth is set to open November 15; it will become the brand's only hotel in Australia. Highlights will be a spa developed by GOCO Hospitality and a rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking the Swan River.
The spa will have three treatments rooms, one spa suite, saunas, a heated outdoor infinity pool overlooking the river, vitality pools with massage jets and a private mind and body studio. Treatments at the spa will be holistic and will use organic products, The Ritz-Carlton says. There will also be a yoga studio.
The Ritz-Carlton says the restaurant and rooftop bar will become the newest destination in Perth’s dining and nightlife scene. The hotel, cladded in 10,000 pieces of Kimberley sandstone on both the exterior and the lobby, will have 205 rooms, including 18 suites. The 3,000-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Suite—the hotel’s top digs—will have an outdoor balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the city and Swan River.
Found on 1 Barrack Street in the Elizabeth Quay precinct, the hotel is in prime location, just minutes from local attractions, such as Kings Park and The Bell Tower. Waterfront restaurants, shopping and public art installations along the Barrack Street Jetty are other options, according to The Ritz-Carlton.
Through the hotel, guests will be able to arrange twilight cruises along the Swan River and luxury seaplane tours. River cruises are available to take you to Swan Valley, Fremantle and Rottnest Island among other destinations. Dario Orsini will serve as general manager.
The Ritz-Carlton previously operated two hotels in Sydney. According to The Hotel Conversation, a 55-story, $750 million Ritz-Carlton development is planned for Sydney's Central Business District.
