Minor Hotels has announced the upcoming relaunch of Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles. Set to reopen on June 16, the upgraded resort marks the next chapter for one of Seychelles’ most notable beachfront escapes, unveiling a refreshed look and elevated guest experiences.
The property is set on the west coast of Mahé Island, just 30 minutes from Seychelles International Airport. Offering direct access to white-sand beaches, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles will reopen with 192 fully refurbished guestrooms and suites, including new Lagoon Access Rooms that bring guests even closer to the resort’s expanded lagoon-style pool. The relaunch will also introduce a new dining scene that celebrates island culture and coastal flavors. From globally inspired bites at Pti-Bazar to flame-grilled feasts at Somewhere and hand-rolled sushi at SEYUMAI, guests can enjoy a myriad of cuisines. Additionally, Zil and Lagon Bars serve poolside sips and snacks, while Bar Barons blends wholesome plates with signature cocktails.
Guests can, alternatively, unwind at Avani Spa, explore the surrounding waters with snorkeling and water sports or discover Seychelles’ vibrant Creole heritage. The resort’s three flexible meeting spaces, oceanfront location and curated experiences also make the hotel well-suited for destination weddings, incentive travel and executive retreats.
Said Dillip Rajakarier, group CEO of Minor International: “With enhanced facilities including innovative new room types and refreshed dining and wellness offerings, we’re confident the relaunch will add tremendous value to the Avani portfolio and resonate strongly with both new and returning guests.”
