From the Turks and Caicos to Bhutan, COMO Hotels and Resorts have built up a loyal following for their luxury retreats which have a deep sense of place. To quote the official website: “COMO Hotels and Resorts is committed to creating extraordinary experiences for curious people with a passion for a life lived fully.” It’s all about mind-body wellness, great cuisine and personalized service.
Now COMO fans will have another reason to pine for Bali. Come February, COMO will open another resort called COMO Uma Canggu in Canggu, an area known for great surf on Bali’s southern coast. Joining COMO Shambhala Estate and COMO Uma Ubud, the new resort will overlook this beautiful stretch of beach and ocean. There will be 52 rooms and suites, 55 one- and two-bedroom residences, and 12 three-bedroom duplex COMO Penthouses, complete with rooftop pools and panoramic ocean views. COMO Uma Canggu is a 60-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Here’s what’s in store: The resort’s COMO Shambhala Retreat will offer daily fitness classes, healing and holistic therapies, while the COMO Beach Club promises to be “a distinctly modern take on the traditional 'surf scene.” Forget the classic surf shack; this is a more refined hang-out. Think wood-fired grill, an international menu featuring fresh regional ingredients, accompanied by live acoustic music and DJ sets.
There’s also a 115-meter lagoon pool, a fully equipped gym, Pilates and yoga studios. We like the sound of the pool-floating lounge chairs….
Pssst. Aspiring surfers can sign up with lessons from the pros with COMO partner Tropicsurf.
