Kuala Lumpur is seeing a number of high-profile luxury hotel openings this year: Four Seasons, Alila, W Hotels, and Banyan Tree are all moving into Malaysia’s capital. Among these highly anticipated debuts, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur made a grand entrance in June 2018. The brand’s first Malaysian property is billed as an "urban oasis" in Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle, the country’s commercial, shopping and entertainment hub.
Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur has 55 rooms and suites overlooking Petronas Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower. Ranging from 550 square feet to 2,100 square feet, each room is decked out with Banyan Tree’s signature aromatherapy essentials and a chromotherapy shower. Tip: Suites come with private relaxation pools.
Sky-high dining is available at four different F&B venues: The Horizon Grill steakhouse; the chic rooftop bar, Vertigo; Altitude for Afternoon Tea and drinks; and a French-style patisserie called Bake by Banyan Tree. In addition, the hotel offers three boardrooms for meetings, an open-air swimming pool, and a fully-stocked gym. A hotel highlight is the Banyan Tree Spa, which offers holistic treatments based on traditional Asian healing therapies. There are four couples suites.
From its start in 1994 with a boutique hotel in Phuket, Singapore-based Banyan Tree Holdings now has a portfolio of 30 hotels and resorts, more than 60 spas and 80 retail galleries, and three golf courses, spread across 27 countries. Banyan Tree entered into a strategic partnership with AccorHotels at the end of 2016. Banyan Tree has access to AccorHotels’ global reservations and sales network, along with its popular loyalty program, Le Club AccorHotels.
