Benjamin Chemoul has been named general manager of the Beau-Rivage Palace, the Hôtel d’Angleterre & Résidence and the Château d’Ouchy. The appointment will come into effect as of January 1, 2023. Chemoul will be taking over as the successor of Nathalie Seiler-Hayez, who contributed to the success of the three establishments for the past seven years. She will step down as general manager of these establishments at the end of 2022.
Hired in April 2017 as director of room division, Chemoul has worked alongside Seiler-Hayez for more than five years. The duo worked well together and implemented major projects to promote the international reach of the Beau-Rivage Palace.
Nathalie Seiler-Hayez said, “I have enjoyed seven stimulating and likewise satisfying years in this flagship in the Swiss hotel industry. I have always been able to count on the support and full attention of the board of directors, but it has been a pleasure to work with them, above all due to their qualities as an exceptional team on which I have been able to rely without fail. I am particularly pleased that we were able to find a member from within the company to take over, my deputy Benjamin Chemoul with whom I have worked very closely. I will be accompanying him every step of the way during the handover period so as to ease his start in his new role.”
Chemoul has played an exemplary role and showed unwavering commitment when performing his work. Quickly moving up the ranks at the Beau-Rivage Palace, he was promoted to the position of deputy director in January 2020. He was also entrusted with the operational management of the Château d’Ouchy and the Hôtel d’Angleterre as director in March 2022.
Chemoul said, “I look forward to moving forward along the path embarked upon by Nathalie Seiler-Hayez and I thank her for the confidence she placed in me during our time working together. I feel ready to take on this challenge of running the Beau-Rivage Palace–one of most emblematic Swiss hotels with a remarkable international reputation. With a great team already in place, I will do everything in my power to write another worthy chapter in the great history of our establishment.”
