The 57-room Seven Hills is putting the finishing touches on a property-wide renovation, which is set to wrap later this month. Changes include updated exteriors, landscaping, pool area, furnishings, bathrooms and common areas; a new presidential suite with its own separate soaker tub and rain shower; and a new food and beverage service that will offer light dinners and a bar menu.
The hotel came under new ownership and management last June when The Wardman Group acquired it and brought in Scout Hotel & Resort Management to operate it. Later last year, Seven Hills began the current ongoing renovation, estimated to cost around $2 million. The Berkshires property is the second time the two have worked together, with Ocean Gate Resort in Boothbay, Maine, being the first.
Seven Hills, originally a 1911 mansion, became an inn back in 1951. Accommodations at the 27-acre property are spread across three buildings: The original Manor House, the Carriage House and the Terrace Building. The hotel, located in Lenox, Massachusetts, offers quick access to a variety of cultural attractions, including the Tanglewood music festival, Shakespeare & Company, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Theatre and the Norman Rockwell Museum. Those interested in the outdoors can use the hotel as a base for downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter and hiking and biking in the summer.
