Big Sur luxury resort Post Ranch Inn has launched its “Open Skies” package. The offer encompasses round-trip helicopter shuttle service for two, guestroom accommodations, all dining at Sierra Mar, and daily activities and amenities such as guided nature walks, garden tours, forest meditation, yoga classes and more.
The package, now available for booking, is a direct response to the recent cease of tourism and business closures in Big Sur as a result of Highway 1’s closure at Rocky Creek and restoration efforts. The limited-time “Open Skies” package is available until Highway 1 fully reopens from the north without restrictions to the public, which is expected in late May.
The adventure commences at Monterey’s Del Monte Aviation, adjacent to Monterey Regional Airport, with a 20-minute helicopter flight over the lush hillsides of Big Sur. It concludes with a stay at Post Ranch Inn. Helicopter flights are available daily between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Post Ranch Inn’s helicopter service marks the start of Big Sur’s reopening, alongside other nearby establishments such as Big Sur Deli & Taphouse, Big Sur River Inn, Deetjens, Fernwood Tavern, Hawthorne Gallery and Nepenthe & Phoenix Shop. The team encourages visitors to support the local community by supporting these businesses while visiting Big Sur, CA.
