The Stone Cottages (1,200-1,475 square feet) showcase The Great Smoky Mountains. They have tacked stone archways, iron windows, reclaimed oak floors, white rough-sawn walls and lime-washed oak ceilings—crafted with materials from the mountain. Bonus: Each cottage has an outdoor patio with a wood-burning fireplace and a soaking tub. The Watchman Cabins (675 square feet) are located near the Firetower and have access to a 20-foot outdoor heated soaking tub. These have walls of reclaimed wood, floor-to-ceiling windows, scenic outlook decks and wood-burning stoves.
At the Firetower Restaurant, chef Joel Werner, who has been at Blackberry Farm since 2015, prepares Grilled Sturgeon with Coriander Scented Carrot Purée and Parsley-Lemon Salad—a dish the hotel recommends. He will oversee the all-day dining menus with light dishes. Firetower Restaurant will include breakfast, lunch and snacks, including bowls, flatbreads and mussels. The restaurant is built around a restored historic fire tower—considered the focal point of the property—originally used by the U.S. Forest Service for scouting fires in the Great Smoky Mountains.
