There’s a new hotel joining Hyatt’s The Unbound Collection. Párisi Udvar Hotel in Budapest will be the hotel collection’s second in Europe and third outside the U.S. come 2018.
Hyatt has announced the franchise agreement with Párizs Property Kft for the project, which will convert the Brudern House in downtown Budapest into an upper-upscale 110-room hotel.
The building was completed in 1931 and has not since gone under major renovations. Because of this, much of the 20th century architecture is still intact. The future hotel will incorporate elements from Moorish, Art Deco and Neo Gothic styles.
Along with the 110 guestrooms and suites, the hotel will also house 3,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, a spa and fitness center, restaurant, bar and café. The dining locations will be located within the Párisi Udvar arcade, under the building’s colored glass ceiling and hexagonal cupolas.

The building is located on Ferenciek Square on the "Pest" side of the city, close by to the famous pedestrian area of Váci Street, bustling with cafés, theaters and shops.
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt launched in March 2016 and has since grown to five properties currently in operation, with additional properties in development for the brand. The upper-upscale and luxury properties range from historic urban spaces to contemporary trend-setters, and boutique properties to resorts.
Other properties in the collection include The Confidante in Miami Beach, FL; The Royal Palms in Phoenix, AZ; The Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX; the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris, France; and the Carmelo Resort & Spa in Carmelo, Uruguay.
