Calabash Hotel has announced that they have been invited the join Relais & Châteaux. It is the fifth hotel in the Caribbean to join this group.
The Granada hotel is set to reopen October 4 after eight weeks of renovation. During renovations, the hotel redesigned the reception area as well as enhanced the piano lounge, restaurant and bar area. Service at the Beach Club is also expected to be improved due to an expanded kitchen and upgraded washroom facilities. The spa is also moving near the pool as part of work on the wellness center.
The all-suite property offers furnishes every room with all the standard luxuries plus air conditioning, iPod docking stations, complimentary Wi-Fi, a fully stocked mini bar, tea and coffee station. Guests can also take breakfast on either the balcony or patio which is featured in every room.
Room themselves range from a standard junior suite to pool suites with their own private pools and spacious penthouse suites with a private pool and double bath.
Guests can dine at two locations at the hotel. The first is Rhodes, a high-end restaurant serving gourmet specialties like twice baked lobster soufflé, slow roasted lamb shoulder, and passion fruit panna cotta. For more casual meals, The Beach Club offers lunch tapas, and cocktails every afternoon.
During the day, the resort offers boat trips to Fish Fridays in Gouyave, a street food festival, sunset champagne cruises, snorkeling trips to the underwater sculpture park, yoga, sailing, tennis, and access to non – motorized water sports.
