The Chatwal Lodge in New York's Catskills has announced the opening of three Treehouse accommodations. Located on the grounds of the Chapin Estate, a former 18,000-acre wildlife reserve, the all-inclusive resort is part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
The three Treehouses are an addition to the Lodge’s 11 existing suites and cottages, integrating modern architecture and design into the surrounding forest of oak and maple trees. The structures are set 15 feet above the ground with oversized windows that allow for maximum natural light and views of the landscape. Each Treehouse accommodates up to four guests with a king-sized bedroom on the main level, a loft with a queen Murphy bed, a living room with a wet bar,and a covered balcony and exterior deck with a gas fire pit.
The Treehouses are complete with an array of custom furnishings and distinctive “found pieces”—from petrified wood and mango root tables to live-edge teak wood slabs—giving each space an elevated feel. Other amenities include heated bathroom floors, oversized showers with views overlooking the canopy and nearby Toronto Reservoir, cherry wood vanities, a coffee machine, fully stocked minibar, automated lighting and window shades, and more.
Like all guests at The Chatwal Lodge, those staying in the Treehouses can look forward to farm-to-table cuisine enjoyed either in the restaurant or via room service; activities across all seasons ranging from fly fishing, forest bathing and snowshoeing, to shuffleboard and duckpin bowling in the property’s recreation center; and other personalized services.
Following the debut of the Treehouses, a pool and spa concept is also slated to debut this year.
