Conservatorium, a luxury hotel in Amsterdam, is partnering with the neighboring Stedelijk Museum to offer the “Studio Drift Discovery” package. The deal, centered on the museum’s current exhibit “Coded Nature” from art group Studio Drift, will provide an exclusive museum tour and behind-the-scenes experience with the artists.
Studio Drift is an art group founded by Dutch artists Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta. Gordijn and Nuata’s work uses tech art, performance and bio-design to comment on sustainability, the environment and augmented reality.
Since June 2015 the pair have been “Conservatorium Ambassadors.” The hotel previously featured their pieces “Ghost Chairs,” “Nola” and “Fragile Future.” Now, and until August 26, Studio Drift’s “Coded Nature” exhibit fills eight rooms at Stedelijk Museum and includes a selection of films. A few highlights are “Fragile Future Chandelier 3.5” and “Drifter.”
Guests staying at Conservatorium through the “Studio Drift Discovery” package will receive a one night in a Grand Duplex Suite, breakfast at the Brasserie and a tour through “Coded Nature” led by a Stedelijk guide. Additionally, participants will go behind-the-scenes with Studio Drift, private transportation included. In their suites, guests can take in the art experience “Dandelight” from Studio Drift.
The package will be available until the exhibit ends in August. It must be reserved at least 21 days in advance.
