Coquillade Provence in France Unveils Latest Accommodations

Coquillade Provence in France has unveiled its newest accommodations. The Relais & Châteaux resort, set amid lavender fields and vineyards, has unveiled five new suites, complete with bespoke spa treatments and personalized services.

Located in the center of Luberon in France, Coquillade Provence originates from an 11th-century hamlet established by Cistercian monks and was opened by Swiss businessman Andy Rihs in 2008. The new suites, ranging from 645 square feet to 1,614 square feet, are in a separate wing of the resort with its own private entrance, and offer direct access to the resort’s spa.

Views of the hills and vineyards serve as the backdrop for the suites, which all come with spacious terraces. On the terraces, hydrotherapy baths are embedded in the wooden decking, designed to resemble the Provençal aiguier, a pool dug into natural rock formations. The largest of the new suites, Cassiopée, comes with a solarium, a lap pool and a private sauna. If rented together, this wing of suites can house a total of 10 adults with extra beds available for children. Additionally, several of the suites can be connected via a corridor and the terrace, making them well-suited for families.

Surrounded by gardens, the new suites have floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, bathrooms with an oversized bathtub, separate shower and water closet, independent sink vanities, and more. Each suite also has its own wine fridge, complete with wines from Domaine de la Coquillade.

These suites additionally offer access to a private spa, where new vinotherapy and phytotherapy treatments incorporate the grapes and herbs grown on site; a kitchen for visiting chefs; and concierge and butler services upon request.

With these additions, there are now 69 accommodations at Coquillade Provence. In all, guests can choose from traditional Bastide-style rooms in the stone farmhouses that are found across the property; contemporary rooms that were added a few years ago; a private Pool Suite, part of a five-bedroom villa, which can also be fully rented as a stand-alone home; and the Bastide Les Vallats, a private seven-bedroom villa located 20 minutes from the property.
