Continuing its partnership with the Pedro de Osma Museum, Country Club Lima Hotel debuted the “Marian Apparitions: Origins & Traditions” exhibit. On display through August 31, the selection showcases European artwork of the Virgin Mary brought to Peru in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The exhibit consists of 13 depictions of the Virgin Mary brought to the country by religious orders, including the Dominicans, Mercedarians and Jesuits. One of the more significant items is Our Lady of the Rosary of Pomata from the Andean region of Peru. Other highlights include the paintings of the Virgin of Mercy, Our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady of Loreto.
The exhibition continues the partnership between the hotel and the Pedro de Osma Museum. In its public spaces and guestrooms, Country Club Lima Hotel permanently displays over 300 pieces of art and colonial furniture from the museum.
