Dorchester Collection has announced the appointment of Lee Kelly as general manager of 45 Park Lane from August 1, 2022. Kelly replaces John Scanlon, who has been promoted to general manager of The Beverly Hills Hotel. In the new role, Kelly’s responsibility will include the management of Dorchester Collection’s Mayfair Park Residences.
Kelly has more than 20 years of international hotel management experience, and joins the hotel from The Berkeley, London, where he held the position of hotel manager for over two years. He was also appointed as general manager of Bray’s Monkey Island Estate and held various director of food and beverage positions at The Savoy, London and Four Seasons Hotels in Singapore and Canary Wharf, London. Kelly has a degree in hotel and catering management from the University of Surrey.
Commenting on his new role, Kelly said, “I’m looking forward to leading 45 Park Lane into its next chapter where truly memorable experiences are created and where traditions are reinvented in a socially vibrant setting.”
Christopher Cowdray, CEO of Dorchester Collection, said, “Lee is joining 45 Park Lane at an exciting time of the hotel’s evolution since its opening in 2011. His skills in exceptional guest experience, service delivery, and product and people development will help enhance further the reputation of the hotel and its popular CUT restaurant in the Mayfair community and much further afield.”
The hotel has 45 guestrooms and suites, including the Penthouse Suite—all of which offer views of Hyde Park. The Penthouse Suite has a wraparound roof terrace with panoramic views across the London skyline. Guestrooms also have bespoke amenities for 45 Park Lane by Aromatherapy Associates. Guests can even borrow one of the hotel’s Brompton bicycles.
